The following photos were taken with the SONY RX100 V. 

One of the menu options have an aspect ratio option. I didn’t know what that was so I decided to test what each setting did to the picture.

4:3

16:9

1:1

As you can see the pictures are somewhat cropped. Although I’m not sure how to utilize this setting yet, it is good to know what each setting did. 

As far as I can tell the 3:2 looks to closest to what we see from the touchscreen and from the viewfinder. 4:3 looks to crop the top and bottom a bit and 16:9 looks to stretch out the screen with a lot of the top and bottom cropped out. The one I do not like is the 1:1. Not sure why but it’s just ugly to me.
